M201 - Better Instructional Design Through Mind Mapping

Mon, May 20 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Room: 202, Convention Center

Uncovering the need is one thing, but organizing the mountain of content from a SME is an ID's nightmare. You have to keep the goal in mind. Mind mapping helps you define the goal and align content to the intended outcome. In this session, you'll learn how to leverage mind mapping for needs analysis brainstorming; laying out the goals, outcomes, and objectives of the course; and how to align the assessments, content, and activities for success.

Application on the Job:
Lead and map a needs analysis brainstorming session.
Define the course goal, map outcomes and objectives to it, and populate assessments, content, and activities.
Create mind maps on paper, whiteboards, and digitally.
